Good evening folks.
I am alive and well.
Many thoughts on my mind.
Beyond the obvious ones.
My mind has started to turn again, to awaken—a new dawn after a dormant metamorphosis.
An awakening, a strength, a new sensibility.
A differentiation within me between what I know people expect or predict me to say, and what I actually think—old thought patterns finally decomposing, being digested by my living soul, experience breaking through the iron grip I maintained on my old ways of seeing the world.
I don’t know what’s coming next, but I do know one thing: my old ego has been humbled. The rock has been shattered, but like a geode, or a seed, new beauty is arising from within: a truer beauty, a more comprehensive one.
What could this be but lucidity? Seeing clearly. My own reflection. The truth.
Nothing lasts forever, except the truth. The ebb and flow of the universe.
Why does anything exist at all? Because the mind of the universe (some call it God) etches patterns into the fabric of reality, and some of those patterns reverberate across time, like a swirl of vortexes that trails your hand when you pull it through a pool of water.
You, as a fragment of God, can etch patterns into the fabric of reality too. But because you are only a fragment, the patters that you etch can cause pain—in other words, they can degrade the beauty of other patterns that already exist. This is why, as an individuals power (ability to etch patterns into existence) increases, that person bears more responsibility for what they etch. A whimsical flourish for you may cause years of suffering for others (including your future selves), and you may not even know it.
Every decision you make has the ability to affect the entire future of our species, and of consciousness and existence itself. It is oftentimes difficult to predict what the outcome of your actions will be, and to determine which outcomes are good, especially if you are inexperienced. Nevertheless, that does not mean that you are not accountable for those outcomes. You are responsible for the patterns of existence that you bring into this world, even if you did so inadvertently, or when you were younger and more naïve. This is true until the day you die.
A life well lived is one where we take responsibility for our whole universe, including our past, present, and future selves, and the selves of others (including unborn future generations). We must exercise discernment in which patterns of being we precipitate into the world, and exercise caution lest we create demented, self-destructive energies that put the whole endeavor at risk. That being said, we should not turn away from risk itself, because in the direction of risk also lies adventure, passion, and knowledge. We cannot be a leeching slime that eeks out its survival on this rock. A universe within and a universe without beckon us to explore, to expand our horizons, and to experience things that no living being has ever experienced.
I hope you will join me in this exciting way of viewing the world. Life is too short to suppress wonder or responsibility in the name of avoiding risk, or altering your behavior so that it makes sense to other people. Nothing makes sense. We exist in a dream of a living God, or something like that, and all you have to do is look up to realize how crazy it is that any of this exists at all.
This post comes at a time when I am evaluating my sanity through the eyes of “normal” people. We march onwards.
